Royal Challengers Bengaluru Vs Lucknow Super Giants

MATCH PREDICTION & ANALYSIS

The third week of the IPL is underway, and on Monday, Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Lucknow Super Giants will square off.

Last year, when LSG visited the Chinnaswamy stadium, tensions were high. After Pooran and Stoinis destroyed the RCB bowlers in an attempt to chase a 200+ total, LSG’s bowlers brought them home on the last ball. Drama also abounds in this match, as seen by the run-in that Kohli had both during play and after the game with Gambhir and Naveen ul Haq. Even if Gambhir has moved on to his former team and Naveen and Kohli have reconciled, this rivalry is undoubtedly going to remain intense.

To continue moving further in the tournament, both teams must win, but RCB more so. With only one victory in their last three games, RCB will drop to the bottom of the standings if they lose this match. LSG will be looking to move past their away defeat to the Royals in Jaipur and use any strategies they found effective when playing Punjab at home.

Teams Preview –

Royal Challengers Bengaluru :

The nicest thing that has occurred to RCB so far is that Kohli has found his touch again after taking a short break from cricket. Dinesh Karthik has also contributed some significant runs in the bottom order, doing a superb job of fulfilling his finishing position. But RCB has a lot to be concerned about. Concerning is Du Plessis’s weak start to the game.

The skipper has to bounce back from his two bat-related mishaps and resume making the most of the powerplay by hitting some fast runs. Although Glenn Maxwell has shown flashes of brilliance, RCB won’t settle with that because of his capacity to alter the course of the game if he gets to play himself in. They also terribly missed it vs KKR. Green is in the same boat. He attempted to quicken the pace but was removed after playing with purpose and hitting a couple boundaries to keep the scoreboard ticking over.

RCB has a number of issues when it comes to bowling as well. When Yash Dayal and Mohd Siraj use their radar correctly, they appear menacing; otherwise, they are just regular people. Lockie Ferguson ought to be inserted into the starting lineup in lieu of Alzarri Joseph, who needs to be given a rest. And the spinner Mayank Dagar’s lack of wickets is another huge source of concern that RCB has to solve fast.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru Predicted Playing XI:

F du Plessis (capt), V Kohli, RM Patidar, GJ Maxwell, C Green, KD Karthik, Anuj Rawat (wk), L Ferguson, MJ Dagar, Mohammed Siraj, Yash Dayal.

Lucknow Super Giants :

The Lucknow Super Giants’ tactical choices in the previous game surprised everyone, including the Punjab Kings, who were the opponent. KL Rahul was designated as the impact sub, while Nicholas Pooran was tasked with organising the soldiers. On a newly re-laid strip, they chose to bat first without considering the possible repercussions of the chase turning against them if the dew set in. All that mattered was that they emerged victorious in the end.

Both Quinton de Kock and Krunal Pandya performed admirably, hitting some powerful blows later in the order to elevate LSG over average on a strong batting strip. It’s concerning that Stoinis and Badoni don’t communicate well. In terms of bowling, Ravi Bishnoi is still finding his footing. Compared to what he has done in the first two matches, he is a better bowler.

While Mohsin Khan took two crucial wickets against Punjab to change the tide following a poor bowling performance against the Royals in the season’s first match, Naveen ul Haq has done a passable job. The season’s high point, though, is the addition of pacer Mayank Dagar, who bowled some major wheels the other night to end with 3/27 off 4 in his first encounter.

Lucknow Super Giants Predicted Playing XI:

Quinton de Kock, Devdutt Padikkal, KL Rahul/Naveen-ul-Haq, Marcus Stoinis, Nicholas Pooran, Ayush Badoni, Krunal Pandya, Ravi Bishnoi, Mohsin Khan, Mayank Yadav, M Siddharth.

Pitch & Weather Conditions:

Weather :

Batsmen will leap with delight on these pitches, which are a batter’s dream. Early summer weather is predicted to be quite chilly and dry. The other night, we witnessed dew roll in during the second innings, so moisture is also a possibility for this match.

Pitch Report:

This game will take place in Bengaluru at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium. The last time, LSG defeated RCB in a nervous and suspenseful conclusion thanks to last-ball victories stolen by Avesh Khan and Ravi Bishnoi.

Toss: To Ball

At the coin toss, both captains will be thinking about chasing because the team batting second has won both of their matches at the Chinnaswamy.

In this away game against RCB, Lucknow Super Giants have enough weapons in the bat and ball to keep them at bay. Super Giants of Lucknow will prevail.
