Jannik Sinner was born to Hanspeter and Siglinde Sinner on August 16, 2001, in Innichen, South Tyrol, Northern Italy. His native tongue is German.He grew up in Sexten, the family’s hometown, where his father works as a chef and his mother as a waitress at a ski resort.He has a brother called Marc.Sinner began skiing and tennis at age three. Sinner, who placed second in 2021 and 2023, prevailed in South Florida by winning 88% of his first serve points and crushing 15 winners.

Winner of the Australian Open, Sinner earned a second Masters 1000 championship after winning in Canada the previous year. Since the US Open, he has only lost three times and won 25 of his last 26 games.

The 22-year-old, who dethrones Carlos Alcaraz as the world No. 2 player on Monday, acknowledged that he has a target on his back going into the claycourt season.
