What Zayed Cricket Stadium, Abu Dhabi asks of this ODI

Zayed Cricket Stadium, Abu Dhabi shows its hand in the first hour. If the new ball moves, the top order has to leave. If it sits up, the opening stand can settle the day before the change bowlers arrive. Afghanistan and Zimbabwe play that surface on this date, not a generic one.

Fifty overs at Zayed Cricket Stadium, Abu Dhabi split into a powerplay, a middle, and a death. Afghanistan and Zimbabwe win it in the phase where the fifth bowler is hiding.

Who has to win their hour

Rashid Khan sets the field for Afghanistan. Sikandar Raza sets it for Zimbabwe. At Zayed Cricket Stadium, Abu Dhabi, that first-hour field is the plan for this ODI.
